Wow,these excerpts are great, really !!!

The ones wich touches me most are "Landfall" on first place and "Daydream"!

Finally, it will be a Masterpiece again after a little dissapionting MB and Guitars !!!
The only thing that bothers me is that these songs are not related to the other. I mean, it is not a walkthrough like TSODE or TB2 as a theme, but I can be wrong.
I just have to listen the complete album!

Well, only 2 Weeks left, but I can wait again now with these snippets ! smile)

Just had a listen to all the extracts - sad to see some of the cool tunes i've been hearing on the MVR demo and video are not there (eg. Butterfly tune and tunnel tune).
Maybe they will be on album 2 in this series.

Some of it sound truly vintage Mike and excellent stuff. Some, however, sounds very 'backgroundy' and nondescript! The sax-guitar sounds very dodgy to me and i'm not sure if i'll ever end up liking it's sound!!!!!

Well, they are only small extracts afterall.

But, it certainly sound fresh and is enough to let me know i'll be getting this album!

I forgot to say that "Landfall" and "Daydream" touches me most, but "Sirius" is my favourite piece which I knew from the beginning and middle of the Promo, and listened to it at least 20 times !!!

Mike you did great! smile

Looking foreward to listen to the Album and playing the full game !!!

@timeshen:
Indeed the sax simulation is bad, and hate it.
I always hated it because in my opinion it riuns every pice of music, not only M. Oldfield´s !
But Island is a good example.

Great songs!!!
Some of them reminds me to Tubular Bells II and The Songs Of Distant Earth, which are my favourite albums. Another great new is that To Be Free single is now avaliable. I have searched a bit and I have found the final tracks:
1. To Be Free Single Version
2. Pumpin' dolls to the top club mix
3. Pumpin' dolls Argento dub mix
4. Soultronik hard floor cibervetido mix
5. Soultronik mix - tical mix

It has a good price 6€ (5,77 US $).
You can see it at:

Well what can I say, Its GREAT. Fantastic, its defently an album for relaxation smile

I think there is a theme going thruogh every peace of music. The backgorund stuff, tha base and the little tuch of Africa, I sense it in every song. All in all its sounds very promising and I think the album will be great. My final judgement and rank comes first when I have heard all of it.

My favorits so far
Landfall
Firefly
Tres Lunas
Sirius

Wow, it sounds pretty good!. I believe again in love at first sight (ejem, "listen"), Thou art in heaven seems a enhanced version of Berlin2000 which is awesome since once I posted at Amarok that I was so sad it was not commercial released. Mike, can you plan a single with both versions?, yeah, I know, I'm dreaming but it'd be my final musical orgasm!

Did some of you also noticed that the beginning of "Misty" (particulary the bass line) sounds exactly as a guitar piece from Taurus I? Sounds Mike is quoting himself again. wink

When I heard the album was "chillout," I expected something boring and dull. Thankfully, Mike's better than that ;-)

Viper and No Man's Land are the two tracks that caught my ear right away. If this is the music that's on MVR, I want both so I can see the images that go with the music!!

Well, had another listen again.
I take back my comments that some stuff sounded 'backgroundy' - on second listen each track sounds really fresh and wonderful.

I love Tres Lunas and Return To The Origin - the guitar work is vintage Oldfield - it seems to be a combination of his SODE style and older guitar style - GREAT!!!

Still can't get used to the guitar-sax ;-)

Everyone keeps talking about this guitar-sax thing. Maybe I'm not listening closely enough, but where is it? I really don't hear it!

I listened through the extracts, and they sure seem promising. I hope that Mike and his
friends can use some of their visual/music
art experience to make the promotion of the album and musicVR state of the art.
The "Tres Lunas" promotion site has some cool
features, sure, but has a boring air about it. I wonder if we see again an example of what happened to the musicVR site. It went from terrible to bad to acceptable to what is now an OK site (still lots of room
for improvement). Oh well, the most important thing is the music (and the game, now). Too bad I'll be away from my PC for a few months. Lucky dogs you are to enjoy the good stuff soon.
