I very vaguely remember some kind of myth like this cropping up before; as far as I'm aware, there's no truth in it (though I believe that Mike did talk with some songwriters like Richard Thompson in the early 70s, with views to collaborating on a more song based album which never materialised - it may be somehow related to this). If anything has ever happened between the two of them, it's never been made public, and I'd look very suspiciously at anything that's claimed to be a recording of them together.
