...I'm... speechless. Well, almost. There are things I'd want to say, but I'm not sure I can phrase them tastefully or diplomatically.

Have a load of this:
Tornado

It's brought out a variety of reactions in people I've shown it to. Judge for yourselves...

Sir M: If you thought MB was bad... ;-)

Brilliant! Quirky, cheesy and bad in a really nice way!  :) There was a comment I was going to make about sturdy thighs, but I'll give it a miss. Worth taking a peek here though. Stevie Vai looks shell-shocked!

Out of interest ktran, how on earth did you find this site? Don't tell me you did a Google for 'The Fastest Finger on the Remote Keyboard'?!

Actually, Korgscrew did the google-ing. I saw it once, linked (also jokingly) from another musicians' website/message board, and I was describing "this horrid video" I'd seen, and recalled the words "fastest finger vai keyboard," which were then entered into the search engine ;-)

I don't think Vai looks as shell socked as he'd be if he saw that photo and the site it's on! He might start interrogating all fans who want to have pictures taken with him!

LOL

I wonder if she has appeared on Eurotrash. That's a late-night UK program that showcases all the cheesy, bad-taste acts in Europe often with a smutty theme. If you haven't been primed on this type of low culture, I can see how you'd be speechless :)

Often it is how consciously bad the musicians are that gives them their appeal. Young kids who don't know any better grow to like them, ensuring that they don't go away anytime soon. Over here a Romanian duo called the Cheeky Girls auditioned for Pop Idol and got similar reactions from the judges. They weren't let in to compete, but somehow they managed to record their novelty single. Since then they are part of a stock of Z-list celebs and I think they still release singles.

At least she can play an instrument to a 'reasonable' standard, but if a proper concert pianist wrote something like that, they wouldn't make a scratch in the market. Heck, I could even write a version for two hands to go at double the speed :) It's all the other factors (including spreading the humourous word) that'll make her popular

I think this was recorded in the snug of the Wheeltapper's and Shunter's social club on the wednesday band box and novelty act spectacular, this person is obviously male and the money he collect's in his cap will go toward's the full and final sausage removal, anyway I have seen this act  before and as far as I can remember usually comes on in between turn's while the compare goes for a shite , and then later on when the the pie and pea's are getting dished out just before the bingo, PS I think the act lives in Filey.

There's no applause at the end of the video. Yes - I think you might be right :)

What makes this really horrible, IMHO, is the fact that it's played on a horrible oboe tone, and only on that tone. If she at least changed it every now and then, the piece would sound at least pretty. ;) Instead it sounds like a very vulgarized and debased version of Rondò Veneziano. :D
