Thanks... I played live only piano and a little of the electric guitar... the other instruments are all my own samples ;)

Piano is a Steinway Model A

I don't agree it's your best work. I like your Muse trancemix more. But after Muse comes this one for sure.

It's pretty interesting you did Ommadawn. I'm currently making an "Ommadawn for piano", so I've played a bit around with the Ommadawn tunes myself.
But,... don't know how to put this... it's like you did everything what I wouldn't. :) Damn, you've got a pretty weird style, Booster! It's like you've drained everything what I like about Ommadawn out of it, and replaced it with something else, something Boosterish. To be honest, at some points I didn't even recognise it.

I hear at some point you took some freedom. And well, some notes just sound wrong... but on the other hand, they fit your style... alright, I think I just see your whole style as 'wrong'.  :D   I better shut up now...

No really, I can't appreciate the style, so I won't comment any further.

well Music ancient... :))) I would like to point out that if I would not be able to stand negative comments I would not put this up :) and would keep it for myself just to please my ears... well my style is weird maybe because of not classical music training but beginning with Trance music... I am not glad that you don't like this one...but well I can live with that ;)

I know you can stand negatives! I mean, after all those tracks you're still talking to me! :D

Well, I could say that some parts sound a bit to much midi-ish, that that note over there probably should be one tone higher to fit the harmony entirely, that you shouldn't fool so much around with the rhythms, that I don't like the way you paste the ending of part two at the end of your track, that I think your piano is to loud, that etc... I would end up in recomposing your track. And btw, I've already said the important comments in previous tracks.

I think I remember you saying that you don't listen classical music. Well, if you want to do musically complicater stuff like Ommadawn or other classical pieces, I think you should listen to it. And not just the popular ones like Für Elise and Ode of Joy, but just going to the record shop and buying a classical cd. No popular ones or 'best off' cd's , just some random cd from a name you vaguely recognise. And listen the hell out of it. Kinda absorb it. Classical cd's don't cost much (I think 5 euro would already be much for one) and I really think it would do good for your musical feeling.

Well, it's just an idea. Maybe other people like what you did and am I making a fool out of myself. We'll see.

I'm listening to it now and I like it, a lot! It's an interesting version, just how much time did it take you to record all this?? It's definitely your best work!

To Music, the ancient... I'm keen on hearing your version. I like classical music a lot and would like to hear a more classical version for piano (preferrably recorded with a real piano).

I kept on working on this for almost 3 months ;) spending my time with sampling, tweaking samples...

Creating weird instruments like the recorder... and so on ;)
it's about 3 - 4 months definitely ;)

Very nice. Stylistic experimentation is a good thing. There may be hits and misses, but you develop, and if it pleases you, then it's served its purpose.

Out of curiosity, what software did you use for sampling/tweaking samples/composition?

tweaking samples - Soundforge 6, CoolEdit 2000 and a lot of plugins
composition - Fruity Loops, Reason and Live playing mixed down in Acid Pro 4

Just listening now...It's deifintly very good. The beginning is quite nice. The whole piece seems severly calmed down, though (much like TB2003 as some would think :) ). There are some parts I don't like, but still, this is your best work yet.

To Bubular Tells:
I've waited a bit to respond, because I didn't want to steal Booster's track post. I just wanted to say, that I probably will get my hands on recording devices in about a month. So don't run away, I'll have an excerpt by then.
