just listened to the 1975 "lost" [and obviously found] demo of ommadawn and was struck by its ethereal qualities - right up to the point where someone's going on about a great big nose.
it really rather spoils the mood. i have noticed a few times now that the coda to the composition is grossly out of character. at times it can be a pleasant diversion from the earwormy quality of some of the compositions but at other times it is just daft.
there could be another interpretation: perhaps it is saying "this is my music but you may not like it, so i will stick stick silly bit on the end just to prove that i am not serious".
thoughts, anyone?
