Ok here's the (almost) final mix of Opus pt.1. I'm very pleased with this one. It is not totally finished, just have some minor tweaking to do and sort out some sound levels but nothing major. It sounds less Hergest Ridge alike since in my last mix it sounded totally ripped off lol :). I think sounds much better than the previous mix - in composition and production.

Tell me what you think, all comments are very much appreciated. :) remeber save-target-as, Geocities dosen't allow direct linking.

(Right-Click - Save-target-as)   Opus P1 - 96kbps - 4.48mb

Sorry about the quility again. i have a 5mb limit for a 6:30 minute song so my options are limited, perhaps if i got an .ogg encoder.

Oh and Merry X-mas to everyone :)

Dude that is truly nice. I love the really reverby guitar way in the distance strumming away. Very nice effect. Truly great, my friend. A unique atmosphere, the entire thing. I absolutley love it. It's no perfect thing to be released on CD maybe (maybe it could), but dude it has atmosphere and potential. I enjoy it.

And about OGG encoders, just head to www.vorbis.com and you can get OGGDropXPD for free with full drag and drop goodness ;).

Ah, this one again. :)
Make an ogg out of this! That's no suggestion, that's a command. ;)

And also when you encode it you don't need to set the number too high. 1.00 quality is just fine. The default is 4.00 but it's really not needed.

I had a proper listen to Opus Parts 1 and 3. Great guitar work there. The recording quality is also first-rate. However, I did notice a buzzing sound with one of the tracks towards the end of No.1

You created a brilliant atmosphere and ambience in No. 3. Have you tried adding an acoustic guitar? It could help to lighten the mix a bit

Does a Part 2 exist? Looked around this forum but couldn't find it

I'd like to see you add more parts to it to form a 60 minute work! Keep at it :D
