Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I saw on bol.com and some other sites the Orchestral Tubular Bells with a new cover. Well, "new", it's the same bell only with sunset clouds on the background. Check it out:

Looks rather cool, doesn't it? Didn't hear anything about this before.

I have that particular reissue, it's on EMI Gold label, and was relased in 2003 apparently. The artwork is very different from those of the HDCD releases, and on the whole I think the whole packaging is much more attractive than the HDCD issues were. I've presumed it's a part of some kind of a (re-)issue series between the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and EMI, but that's just a wild guess.

Looks nice, but then, I always liked the original artwork. Works fine for a "classical" album I think.

sorry to resurrect an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one just for this query.

I'm trying to get hold of the remastered orch.TB (MIKECD3) but I'm having very little joy..I stupidly tried to get it online with the result than I now have more than 1 copy of the 2003 release (the one this thread is actually about!;)

the link in the post above seems to be dead..does anyone know of anywhere online that still does it or should I try the second hands now, is it deleted?

Thanks very much!
