Quote (Ginger Daddy @ Oct. 10 2010, 21:32) | Hi,
I downloaded this a few days ago and I've been listening to it a few times.
I really really like it - but I don't think it's really Voyager-like. The percussion is too powerful but it does have a celtic feel to it. I'd say it's BETTER than any track from Voyager apart from Mont St Michel.
To get the loud sound you might have overmastered the track a bit though... the loud cymbal that comes in really sounds overcompressed but maybe that's just how the base sample sounded....
My wife was listening tonight and she said that if you released an album of music like this she'd definitely buy it. She says 'pretty please with knobs on'! I guess that's some kind of local expression where she comes from

Its one of my favourites to date. Tell the missus she can download it now so she don't need any knobs!
I think I would re-do it now and take some of the produced loops out and make it a bit more 'real'.
The drums are a bit mushy and yes the cymbals scare the shit out of me now when they come in!
I'm looking into the 'cd' issue as I want to play my music in our cafe/B&B we run as I won't need a PRS license!
Also, when we finally go back to Pembrokshire I want to sit by Pentre Ifan and play this track. Closure!
