In general, Mike doesn't use picks for solo work. He plucks the strings with his fingernails whilst muting all the unplayed strings with his other fingers. The Total Guitar magazine article (http://tubular.net/articles/01_10.shtml) for more info.

Also, find a video of Mike playing (TB2, TB3 and Art In Heaven concerts are good) and see what he does.

Thank, but I want to know what is the pick that he use when he don't play with fingernails (pick thin, medium or hard) in de chords, etc.
Sorry for my English!

The only pick of Mike's that I've seen properly was one of those nylon ones - a fairly thick one, but nylon is quite floppy. I would think that he uses different ones depending on the occasion.

There are all sorts of picks available now (as I guess you've seen), and everyone has their favourite material, thickness and shape. I find that it's always worth trying out a selection to see which one seems to work the best for what I want.

Sorry, I misunderstood you there Eugenio.

My personal favourite kind of pick is the one which changes it's bendyness depending where you hold it (yes, I'm still talking about plectrums here!).

I also find it very hard to play mandolin without a plectrum, but that's another story.
