Looks good; very nice to see the vinyl version is different compared to the original vinyl version (of which I probably have dozens of versions, like many fans here).

The replica of the manor brochure looks like the same one of which you can see a photo in the "Making of Tubular Bells" book.

In the Tubular Bells book by R. Newman, it's not a photo of the brochure, it is really the brochure!!  :)

Looks lovely. Too bad you don't seem to get a confirmation email when you register your interest in buying one  :/

If you've registered previously on www.mikeoldfield.com, you won't get an email this time, but it does register apparantley.

I'm actually not so sure about that - I know I did say it looked like the lists might be the same one, but after examining one of the confirmation emails (I didn't get one myself when I tried), I wouldn't like to promise anyone that it's the case. That said, the fact that it sends out links to a Music of the Spheres screensaver and wallpapers does still make me think there could be some sharing going on (that's the same email the old list sent out on confirming via the link in the confirmation email). It's definitely using the same mailing list software.

Certainly I'm registered on the old list and didn't get a confirmation email when I put my email address in again on the 'buy' page. That's about as much as I can tell you - I have no official information about it at all, so all this is just my best guess.

Well it sounds like it's just signing you up to a generic all-purpose mailing list, rather than specifically putting you on a reservation list for the TB UE.

If you're already registered for the updates (at whatever stage you did so), I'm guessing you'll receive an email telling you when the sets are available to order. Perhaps that's when the scramble to secure one will actually start.

Well, I followed the "Buy" link and I did receive a "thanks for registering" confirmation e-mail with a link. I clicked it and this is what I got. Did anyone else of you get a similar page? ;)

Yep, that is what I got. But I also needed to register with a different E-mail address than the one I'd first used to "register an interest". A bit messy really.......

@ Matt: I never did the first subscription, so I can't tell whether it worked or not. But I actually got the message to download the MotS screensaver & wallpaper - it arrived just a minute ago. Now all I can do is wait... :)

Years and years of therapy to repress The Best of Tubular Bells, one glimpse, and this cover reminded me of its existence... :/

It says

"Includes Tubular Bells The Album & Mike Oldfield The Collection 1974 - 1983" Imaginative is not a word I would use to describe the cover .. :)

Well done Pat ...I should eat more carrots !!!! :D

If it states that then I'm thinking it's a cock-up because that describes the 2 CD Compilation Edition rather than the Deluxe Edition !!!!!!!!! ..

That would explain the crap pic ! :(   :D

That's sure one ugly cover. I still think the original bell by Trevor Key is one of the best designs, because it was real and not a computer model ("was", because we still haven't found the nincompoop who stole it! ). But the TB 2003 bell model is also very good, and the use of gold and royal blue for TB 2 is IMHO brilliant!
