Sounds very unlikely to me, even if it's just for one concert... but I heard Waters had Nick Mason as a guest drummer on a gig in June this year, so who knows? :) Personally I'd rather have them doing another studio album, with or without Roger...

IMHO Roger Waters does well without his old mates.

I'd be happy if he makes a new studio album.

'Amused to Death' is a real masterpiece.

I first heard that they would do just one one-off gig for charity. I've since read that they will do an album and a tour!

Even if they have patched things up, I remember in interviews they said that the last two albums they did with Roger, Roger was increasingly difficult to work with, and wanted to take full control of the band.

What's true? I guess that 'Only Time Will Tell'!!!!

I agree Jael - Amused to Death is Mr Waters' Magnum Opus!! It ranks alongside the top Floyd albums from the seventies.

As for the reunion gig, I read similar in the Daily Express last Wednesday. It looks as if Roger and Nick are keen but Dave and Rick may need persuading!

Cheers,

T4

From what I've read, Gilmour may be happier about a reunion than Waters: I hear Waters can be a real prick when he wants to be. I agree that a fully reunited Floyd would be amazing, then I could go see them live! It is very unlikely though, I read in a recent interview that Gilmour isn't really thinking about Pink Floyd very much nowadays.

Roger Waters and Floyd drummer Nick Mason are re-uniting for a forthcomming gig. David Gilmour, from what I've read, isn't having anything to do with it.

Since Richard Wright was expelled from the band by Roger Waters (and returned as a guestplayer ) it is not very likely he is willing to reunite.
Besides with the old members split up we can enjoy more solo albums, or not?

Amused to death, by roger waters, is like Amarok, by mike oldfield, or secret story, by Pat Metheny: a real masterpiece that one must have in his collection!!!

Who can notice that Pat Leonard was the keyboard player and composer of Madonna's stuff in the 80's????????????

The guitarist that cannot be replaced on this album was Jeff Beck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some drum parts were played by the incredible Brian Macleod!!! Well, who's Brian ? He was one of the best and loudest guitarists in the world: to convince you, turn up the volume and listen to the "turn it loud album" (from his canadian group Headpins)
Unfortunately, like my friend says, his sound was too loud for human being! He died of cancer after amused to death recording!

Who else than a french canadian like me knows that the young boys playing in the beginning of "It's a miracle" were in Montréal: one of them , talking about the puck or ball, said: "elle a touché à barre!!...Envoye...les gars!...hééééééééééééééééé!"

It's absolutely amazing, how, Roger Waters, knowing nothing of our culture, made the beginning of this song so good!!!!!!!!! The young boys playing in the background is irrelevant in itself, but the way it is recorded cannot give a better mood!
