Wow. Congrats, man, quite impressive. It amazes me how many people in this board are able to replicate Mike's sounds almost exactly. Evidently, Rikken's "Silent Night/Étude" docet. :) The only remark I can make is that the voices may need to be pushed up a little bit, especially at the end. ;)

Dude,

This is by far my favourite part of Platinum, and I actually am trying to track down a copy of Philip Glass's North Star as a result...

Good job. The feel is a bit lighter and bit "clean," for my tastes, but your guitar playing and overall production is first rate. I love the funky strumming you do right before the vocals. By the way -- what are the vocals? Another small point: I find the hi-hat is a bit loud.

Excellent, you really captured a nice feeling here.

rgds,

thanks for nice comments =)

I agree the HH is to much loud, but I didn't find time to modify the drum patch. That would improve the result.

The voice are voccoded voices (myself, through distorded guitars)

Hey - the track's great, man!

I thought you put the voices low in the mix to disguise that they sound quite synthetic, but now that I read you did it with a vocoder they could afford to be clearer at the end. This is one of the few bits of Glass's original version that Mike used in his

Did all guitar sounds come from an electric through the GT6? I like the playing, especially the strumming towards the end
