There were parliamentary elections today in Britain. I wonder  what party could Mike vote for. Do you have any ideas? I, unfortunately have none and no orientation in British political life neither, so I can't verify your suggestions, but maybe someone could try to guess?

I remember that I once read - I cannot remember exactly where - that he supported the Conservative party. This was in the 1980's, so his political opinions could of course have changed since then. However, he does not seem like a stereotype British Conservative to me. If I should guess, I would say that he would vote Labour, if he votes at all.

I know that at one time he had a letter from Tony Blair on his wall (quite likely still does), thanking Mike for sending some copies of his albums (Tony Blair is apparently quite a big fan of Tubular Bells).

Considering that Mike went into tax exile in Switzerland during the 80s, I can't imagine he liked the Conservative government of the time that much! I do vaguely remember him saying something in praise of Margaret Thatcher, which I suspect is the same thing which Woodlander saw, but I don't remember exactly what it said. I think it may well have also been accompanied by him saying he didn't have much of an interest in politics.
