Rush music seems to be well received on the board...but what about Primus? Apparently Les Claypool is the main force behind the band and without him they wouldn't be that kickassingly shit-up (and probably wouldn't even exist?)...
Don't know if he's the "progenitor" of Primus and how they got together but they sound terrific

Pork soda was the first album I bought...frankly I found it difficult to get into their music but since Rhinoplasty and Antipop I'm almost converted so there you go  :D

i am a long time Primus fan.have all their albums, some bootlegs and as well Claypool's solo releases (sadly many of them are not avaible here in europe).what can i say...i am listening to them for many years (before i discovered rush...),Les Claypool is really great composer and bass player, the other mambers are great too but thay are only background for Claypool's personality...i don't really like PORK SODA so much but albums like "sailing on the seas of cheese","Brown album" or "Antipop" are great.and their best is in my opinion "Frizzle fry" - pure essence of primus...
i love also Oysterhead (les claypool, steward coplenad and trey anastasio), in my opinion their only album "Grand pecking order" is as good as anything that primus did.
Primus are really gorgeous  :D

I hear the release of a project of Claypool, Adrian Belew (King Crimson) and Danny Carey (Tool) is scheduled for next year. Should be interesting! Looking forward to getting to know Primus soon.

Stewart Copeland also acted as a producer on severals tracks on Antipop but he'S a superb drummer in the first place
:D
I don't like Pork Soda, either...it's non-accessible and quite stark IMO
