The opening ceremony off the Olympic games. There will be a spectacular show what manifest itself on the British culture. The title of the show is “Isles of wonder” based on Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”. The ceremony will start by sounding the greatest bell in Europe. The Bell is more than 2meters high and 3meters wide, the bell weights over 23 ton.
Is this the “project of a lifetime”??????? lets hope and see.

Still not sure if this is what Mike was referring to with his "project of a lifetime" mind you, the MO tracks don't seem to be anything other than source tracks for those "DJ"s from what I can see so far?

Surely Underworld are the final mixers/dj/artistes?

Been so much written about them and their links to Boyle.

So very little chance of any of the listed acts actually being present at the ceremony. Unless anyone has seen them coming thru Heathrow for rehearsals?

Heh.....that's a different Boyle - the type looks like a hairy growth.

I was talking the Danny species of Boyle. More "Boyle in the Bag"

Ouch...EastEnders Theme...okay,the BBC is the Olympic Broadcaster and that makes sense to me.

I can imagine a massive megamix of british music rather than the music performed by any of the original artists themselves.

I've got that feeling that Olympic Bell thingie can be related to Mike's TB at the Olympics...it seems to be the only straight link to me.

Danny Boyle's clearly chosen music to represent all the great established UK music genres over the decades. Its fantastic he's chosen TB over anything by Pink Floyd or any other 70's prog acts. Go Mike!

If it's meant to represent British music over the decades, why is Pink Floyd not in there? and why is Michael Jackson in there?

Anybody else think it might be ironic for Mike to be involved in such a celebration of Britain/London, I wonder if he has changed his view:-

"I'm not whingeing - it is just a fact of life that the old Great Britain is gone."

I hope if he does play live he lights up a roll up and ignores some health and safety warnings.

I believe he doesn't do that anymore.
