Hi,

I compose, record, and distribute my own instrumental music under the name Purple Rhapsody. I've had a couple of reviews of my debut CD that have said it sounds like Mike Oldfield...

As a fan of Mike I disagree (although I am pleased) due to my admiration for his musical compelxity and virtuoso guitar playing.

However, the reviews have prompted me to post on here so that you can make up your own mind and can listen to my music.

My initial purpose in making my music available was to let the world hear it - so please listen to my Soundclick page first as that's where you can hear mostly full tracks (the only tracks that aren't full are the ones that are too long for the site's 10 minute limit).

Kind regards,
Terry.

Hi,

With the complete lack of response to this thread I was wondering if I'd broken some rule of etiquette... :/ :D

Could I please ask any people that are even slightly interested to listen to my tracks on the Soundclick page (you can open the whole lot of tracks in a player and listen while doing something else)? It's free and as a new artist I would really appreciate any and all feedback that people would be willing to give.

Many thanks in advance,
Terry.

Hi Iksion,

Thanks for the positive comments.

I've looked at the Fan Music forum (which is what I presume you meant) but thought that the distinction between "Other Artists" and "Fans that produce music" is that in general "Other Artists" are commercial and professional...

So, I'm a commercial artist in my own but I'm also a huge fan of Mike... where do I fit? :/

Let's put it this way... whatever the moderators decide is fine with me!!!

Cheers,
Terry.
