Many of you may of heard of the recent fuss in the UK with Radio 1 (a national radio station) trying unsuccessfully to censor lyrics to "Fairytale in New York". If you haven't heard of this news item try googling for it if you want a laugh.

Anyway, It occurrs to me that those fine chaps in Radio 1 have a point and we need to protect the sensitive people of the world from the unsavoury influence of song titles and lyrics. We therefore need to urge them to ban the following songs:

"The Time has Come" - ever since that trouble with Frankie goes to Hollywoods "Relax" the word "Come" is banned.

"On Horseback" - clearly a reference to the disgusting antics in "Equus" and cannot be allowed.

"Man in the Rain" - Sexist!

Any other songs that need to be banned because of unacceptable lyrics or titles?

Everything Mike has done is full of sexual innuendo. Bragging is a recurring theme. It's all about the length (FMO) and density (Platinum) of a tubular or oblong object (TB, HR, the QE2!) that wants (or needs) to be Exposed.
However, these psycho-sexual themes were dropped after the Crises album that has an obvious castration theme (a phallic object in the night, surrounded on all sides by cold water, the de-sexualized man watching from the shore).
So I'd say it's kiddie safe from Discovery and on.

But Lars, you're not taking "Tres Lunas" into account. In slangspeak, 'moon' = derriere/butt/ass. So, I believe the term 'three moons' must be porncode for a menage a trois of some sort, whether M/M/F, M/F/F, or M/F/A (Male/Female/Alien). Cover the kiddies' ears!

Portsmouth- as it might offend people not from there, and they may regard the BBC think Portsmouth and it's residents superior to those of any other UK town or city.
Tubular Bells- Well we all know that a Tubular Bell is secretly another name for a party of the male anatomy  :O  .
Moonlight Shadow- I think we know that Moonlight Shadow is about the art of "mooning" , that is pulling one's trousers and pants down to reveal ones derriere, so therefore casting a Moonlight Shadow.

Isn`t Mike already banned from radio one?If it wasn`t for Moonlight Shadow he`d probablly be banned from Radio Two as well.Mmmm maybe if we get him officially banned we might start hearing his stuff on the airwaves again?

You can put me down for that Telescope debacle from the discovery album.Pure unadulterated filth from start to finish.Absolutely no excuses for it imo.A million times worse than  Frankie Howard`s Get Yer Tiiters Out album. And that`s saying something.Telescope indeed!

Forgive me for the off-topic, but... hey, Matt... would the "Fairytale of NY" lyrics that were supposed to be censored be, by any chance, "You're a bum, you're a punk / You're an old slut on junk" ? Or maybe are they "You scumbag, you maggot / you cheap lousy faggot / Happy Christmas your arse, I pray God it's our last" ? :D :D Well, if that's the case, it's the n-th confirmation, to me, that (at least some of) Britain, with its excessive prudery, is still living in the Middle Ages. With no offence to you if you're British, of course, or to any other British people in here. ;) It reminds me of when they tried to censor the cover to David Bowie's 1991 album "Tin Machine II" (and they did actually censor it, IIRC), because those four ancient Greek statues were naked and had their genitals exposed...

[Ooops! I wrote a dirty word! GENITALS! Censors, please have mercy... ]

There's a plane on the cover of FMO and a tall skyscraper on the cover of Crises. What was he thinking? May those two albums never be put next to eachother on a store rack ever again!
