This is the final official album cover, according to Amazon:

The album will have only two tracks which will sum up 42:08 minutes long. There will be both a CD and a CD+DVD versions.

Also an LP version. I'm going all in for the full acoustic + analogue experience. (Never mind it's most certainly recorded and mixed on digital equipment.)

Admittedly I have been a dormant M.O. fan for the last couple of years, but I thought this particular record would make a bigger splash :/ .

Can the administrators of this website add a new thread in the albums section for 'Return to Ommadawn' please.

Thanks

This album cover isn't exactly 'returning to Ommadawn'. I guess you could argue it's what Mike saw through that rain-frosted window, his fantasy daydream, but the new cover art does take a step away from the personal introspective art that enclosed Ommadawn.

'Man with Elk vs. Angry Turtle' might be a better title.

Its very disappointing and certainly doesn't float my boat... its does nothing to continue the theme of the original and the loose association with Amarok...

I am still not sure about this cover. Maybe it will meld better with the music when we hear the complete album. I still can't help think it is like a scene from the computer game 'Skyrim'.

I really like that interpretation!

The cover is interesting in that it is the first time in Mike's career that he's used what could be called a "typical progressive rock album cover". Reminds me of Rodney Matthews' style, except not as colourful.

Seems very reminiscent of the game 'Shadow of the Colossus'! I wonder if the artist was a fan?
