Mike probably wouldn't have made it without Richard, Richard in all likelyhood would have made it without Mike. Richard got TB out there, but ultimately forced Mike into a less than favourable deal & pushed him in directions he did not want to go. The Amarok Morse code was an angry re-action, but the Changeling book does not show any real animosity. Also, Mike seems to be someone who does not really look back. Back to top

Cavalier (Lost Version) Group: Members Posts: 598 Joined: Nov. 2010 Posted: Feb. 08 2013, 19:18 I think both of them would define different periods of their relationship by 'when we were friends' and 'when we were friendly with each other'.  It would become a bit tricky when one party switched to the latter without the other realising it.  Mike seems to have gone from believing that Richard "got" him and his music, to a less generous point of view.  Mike mattered to Richard but ever widening horizons meant he left some aspects of dealing with Mike to others.  It would be their right to retrospectively declare that nothing could be described as true friendship, but I think they met the condtions. -------------- "Who was that?"
