Hot on the tail of the now-announced appearance of Roger Waters at the Lisbon Rock In Rio Festival, in Portugal on June 2nd, comes appearances elsewhere across Europe - although none of which have yet been officially confirmed by Roger's management.

We have details of the latest appearances which seem to be happening, and understand that Roger is due to perform some FIFTEEN or so festivals throughout Europe this summer! Set lengths are due to vary from show to show, but the Lisbon performance is due to last around two hours.

Firstly, an article in yesterday's edition of highly respected German newspaper, "Sueddeutsche Zeitung", claims that Roger Waters will stage a very special rendition of the Pink Floyd classic "Dark Side Of The Moon" in Berlin on June 8th. They state that Roger wants to stage a unique audio show of the concept album at the Berlin “Wuhlheide”. He deliberately chose a relatively small venue, with only 17,000 spectators.

The performance is planned to be a previously unheard “extended version” of the concept, which he was not able to realize in the early 70’s due to technical reasons. It is supposed to be the main part of a concert where other songs by Roger Waters and Pink Floyd will also be played.

Another show has been mentioned by the Dutch Progressive Rock Pages website, which states that Roger will be playing the Arrow Rock Festival in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands, on June 9th. The festival's website makes no mention of Roger, but does make it clear that not all acts have been announced yet. Those that have, include Deep Purple, Status Quo, and Journey.

Finally, Norwegian state TV channel NRK report on their site that Roger Waters has been confirmed to appear at the annual Norwegian Wood Festival in Oslo, on its first day, June 14th. During the concert Roger will perform classic Pink Floyd songs, alongside a complete performance (although it is not clear if it is the extended version) of "Dark Side of the Moon".

Tickets for this Festival are not on sale yet, and more information can be found at the festival website.

So, the current schedule (assuming these dates are correct) is as follows:

   * 2 June - Rock In Rio, Lisbon, Portugal
   * 8 June - Wuhlheide, Berlin, Germany
   * 9 June - Arrow Rock, Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands
   * 14 June - Norwegian Wood, Oslo, Norway

We have today had official confirmation direct from Roger Waters' management, of Roger's full itinerary for his European tour, this summer, taking in some fifteen shows along the way.

Most of the shows are solo performances in his own right; a few are as part of a multi-artist festival. All venues with the exception of Reykjavik are open air.

One of the performances is particularly intriguing, being held on the first day of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Magny-Cours racetrack, at Nevers. Surely this is more Nick Mason's territory?!

Tickets for some of these shows are believed to be on sale already - we are looking into the situation with regard to ALL these shows and will update you shortly.

As with the upcoming David Gilmour shows, we want to give Roger's shows comprehensive coverage. We'd love to see your comments about the shows, and any ticket scans, pictures, reviews, set lists, newspaper reports, concert adverts, interviews, audio, video, or anything else you come across. We're going to set up a page for each show's goodies, so keep checking back. Please get in touch if you can help, too!

Without further ado, here's the full schedule of dates that Roger will be playing:

This afternoon, yet another of Roger Waters summer concerts was announced. The latest show to be added to his schedule is the Marquee Festival in Cork, Ireland, on June 29th.

For the tour, he revealed that he came up with a set list of some 15-16 songs on Sunday, February 26th, and said that hopefully there would be four songs that he hadn't performed live before - two old Floyd songs, and two new songs.

:D  om so excited about what the setlist will be!!

the news from floyd corner never stops!!!!!!!!!

Roger Waters reveals two rock albums due late 2006/2007
___ While we are all enjoying Roger's great new opera Ca Ira, fans of his rock albums will be pleased to know that in recent interviews Roger has revealed he has split two bodies of recent work for release in late 2006/2007. The first project deals with politcal angst and his feeling towards recent wars around the world the second project is decribed as a continuation of 'The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking and deals with feelings of love and sex! A tour although likely to be his last is being planned for 2007.

This is great!  :D
any one who is a fan?

Hmmm... I don't think they need each other that bad.  Seperate they make just as good music ( I think of Hitch Hiking or my favourite Floyd: Division Bell) :)
Of course it would be really nice to see them reunited again. But I would be (nearly almost) just as happy as the Floyd would reunite again, but then without Waters.

Tubularman: why does it say that the 2007 tour is likely to be his last???  :/  He's the oldest, but most active of the 4 Floyds!

Now Roger has invited Rick Wright to play Dark Side Of The Moon, which is a really nice thing to do, considering there history, but as of yet Rick has yet to reply.Roger does'nt need Pink Floyd, and Pink Floyd does'nt need him, there is no Pink Floyd anymore anyway, it's better now for them all to do there solo stuff, at least we are getting new music and tours, if we wait for that from Pink Floyd, then we won't get any new music and tour.
