The widely available (also here) transcription says it's Ebm. However, when I grab Ebm (the fretted version) it sounds nothing like the chord played on Crime of passion by Mike O. The video doesn't help either (if you saw it you know what I mean). So... how do I make it sound right? The chords are supposed to be, I think: C#m (4th fret), Ebm (5th fret... except it isn't), B (6th fret) and G#m (4th fret).

Without a capo it seems to be something like (fret no.s):
2
4
3
1
1
x

G#7sus4
It's like a G#m chord but the finger that you have on the D string gets moved to the G string. so from bottom to top it is.
E string fret 4
A string fret 6
D string fret 4
G string fret 6
B string fret 4
E string fret 4

The repeating verse chords are
C#m, G#7sus4, B, G#m

This any help?
emac.

Hmm.. its been a while since I did that one. I agree that the Am shape fretted Ebm doesnt sound right - it follows the melody ok but its not what the acoustic is playing.. x11342 Is Emb and that sounds fair to me. 446464 sounds best to me, cheers for the correction. the G#7sus4 is basically Ebm anyway just with the G note emphasized as a root so either would do. I think i got the Am shaped Emb in there by listening to the melody line too much - that  F# on the B string was ringing in my ears i guess :p

Im glad someone is using that tab!
