Hello!

Recently I bought an acoustic guitar with piezo pickups, so I made this test.

It's a bit crude as there's no editing and no effects. There's a total lack of low frequencies, as it's ONLY piezo guitar.

Everything you hear are first takes, no re-recording, so there are bound to be some mistakes. Also, it may be a bit out of tune...

....but, I hope you might like it anyway.

I've always liked that tune. Thanks!

It doesn't sound all that bad, really. The way around the piezo sound is to tame the high end just a tad, and then double the sound with a mic on the acoustic. Normally, I just get lazy and mic the bloody thing :)

So... umm... were there really seven guitars in there?

For everyone's information, this is a cover of 'Scaraborough Fair' multitracked on guitar

I really liked the playing. With a bit of reverb, I'm sure the thin sound would be quite appropriate in its own right. It could almost sound mandolin-like [hears disapproving grumbles of Korgscrew]. I would go so far as to suggest you keep the sound as it is, but add reverb to the backing parts :)

Can't wait to hear your own original material with the guitar. Very promising start!

I did quite a similar thing: A rough repetitive demo on a section of Hergest Ridge that mainly featured my acoustic here ( hope you can play OGG files! )
