I think it's better to keep the messages short, and if the same person appears several times in one page, you see the same signature several times, and I find it irritating, it's not like in a mailing-list.
BTW, as soon as there is a converter available, I'll switch to a new system, like this one : http://kebawe.com/forums/
There are more options, a calendar, and we can create some polls, send private messages, etc.
