It's a quite odd track by me because I seldom create sad atmospheric music. I only used pure synth sounds this time except for the glockenspiel and the piano, I didn't try to emulate any other acoustic instruments.

Slipping Away

So I'm curious what you think about it.

Congrats on a fine recording. This is as good, if not better than, just about everthing I've heard on the satellite New Age station we recieve. I like the title, too, and it fits the music. Reminds me a bit of Kitaro, who I am quite fond of. I hope to hear more of your work, Eaton!

Thank you, Tony! :)

I also like Kitaro's music but I don't listen to it that often for some reasons, I don't really know why.

About the title: I just realized how many musicians used this title (Moby, Rolling Stones, Mariah Carey, just to name a few), I thought it isn't that popular...

It's maybe worth mentioning how this music was born. I've written some notes in a writing-book ca. five years ago and I've just found it. A caption above it says "with (Vangelis' ) L'Apocalypse des Animaux piano sound". The notes below indicate a different melody but I got into this humour.

Though the main inspirations were probably Vangelis' Soil Festivities and Mats J. Larsson's beautiful track Andy.

Whoa. "When Vangelis met Kitaro" :)

When I was a little kid, I used to listen a lot of synthesizer music. My favourite CD was "Greatest Synthesizer Hits 2" by someone I don't know. This song kind of opened a gate to my childhood memories and it was something really beautiful. I just have to say, this is a great song and you have done great work, EeToN. Thank you for doing this. I would also like to hear some more of your music...
