I think it's that feeling of entering the unknown. You are treading into something you are unsure of, yet you know it's going to be something you've never felt before. Mike's music is so diverse that every album brings something different, so i think.

I think the first reasons for me liking Mike's music was the fact that they all seemed to be epics (the first albums he did were comprised of extremely long pieces of unbroken masterpieces).

All of Mike's Albums make me feel different, depending on the mood I'm in. Hergest Ridge almost always makes me feel content, as it almost drags me through every extreme emotional state that I can ever feel, and ends this exploration with an incredible outlet of electronic energy. Tubular Bells III reminds me of basic emotion again, and makes me feel sad, elated and stunned to a certain extent. QE2 makes me feel like I'm at sea. Anyway, those are just a few of the things I feel when I listen to Mike.

But I know one thing, he always makes me feel content.

I often feel like the two men in the Amarok story. You don't know what I'm talking about? Well, you can read it here... ;)

Its stupied moto(for me). I never listen music just to hear it. Good sound is not a sound. Good sound is voice thet few people can hear

That is a very interesting view, Iksion. I wish I could look at things in the way that you seem to. I totally agree with you. To me, Mike's guitar is a good sound, and Mike's guitar is also his voice, those are his own words. There are some incredibly emotional tunes he notches up using that wonderful instrument of his, particularly in such songs are Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn and Tubular Bells III (Outcast).
