Travelling to the green mountain, and beyond into space
This is one of the most amazing journeys you can undertake in Tr3sLunas.
Look for the green mountain on the horizon, and travel towards it. Be very careful not to travel near to the lurking space arrow as you leave Tr3s Lunas, or it will pick you up and carry you off - it's probably best to travel out of the mainland towards the volcano for a little way, and then set off for the green mountain from there.
Movement is slow, so it will take quite a while, but eventually you'll draw nearer to the mountain. Keep going, and as you approach, move upwards towards the summit. Keep moving upwards, past the summit - and suddenly you'll find yourself in space, high above the planet, and free to move quickly at last. This was first discovered, I think, by olracuk.
Be careful at first - you can travel so fast that it's possible to get lost. You can look down at the planet's surface below you. If you move further into space, you may see the planet shaping itself into a disc, instead of a sphere. The Earth is flat after all, in the virtual Oldfield world..... From further out, you can see the other planets orbiting Tr3s Lunas - apparently the centre of the universe!
If you fly towards the planet again, you may see it reform itself into a sphere, and you'll be able to pick out details of Tr3s Lunas on the surface below you. You can also fly all around the planet - and look for this great gash, or chasm, in the surface. You can also visit this nearby asteroid, and any of the other planets.
If you now fly down towards the planet's surface, and land, you'll find that you can now move about the surface far faster than ever before. What's more, you can take off again, explore the universe, and be back in time for tea.
Exactly why it's necessary to travel to the green mountain before any of this can happen is a mystery. It's as if we're moving between two phases of gameplay - the surface of the planet, and the universe in which it's embedded - and at the top of the green mountain is a way of moving from one phase, to the other. But this was never intended to be part of the 'normal' Tr3s Lunas game. We were never intended to be out here, doing this, pushing the game to these limits. Why it all works so spectacularly is most mysterious.
