I never shared it here before, but today I was listening to it and decided to do something with it in Reason after years of it just sitting on a backup DVD. The result is fascinating to me. It was originally an all orchestral piece. It's a kind of melancholy piece with a bit of hope in it...I kind of envisioned it as being stuck in repetitious lifestyle rut and feeling the desperation to break free, wondering if it'll ever happen. Ginger Daddy Group: Members Posts: 401 Joined: April 2002 Posted: July 14 2009, 01:50 Hi, Overall I really really like it. The backing and the way it ebbs and fades is great. However, in my opinion there are 2 things that detract from perfection: (1) The high violin sound starts off too loud and so it's hard to hear anything else once your ears have latched onto it (2) The synthesiser sound for the lead tune sounds completely out of place - the whole piece sounds modern and up to date except for that retro synth sound which is to plain and intrusive for the piece of music. I'll replace it with something else. Lowering the volume of the violins is also a good idea. MusicallyInspired Group: Musicians Posts: 1445 Joined: June 2001 Posted: July 15 2009, 13:38 I've been toying with the idea of playing guitar on it myself, but I'm currently packing and getting ready to move so that's out of the question. My adapter to my pedal is fried as well and I still need to order a new one. I'll probably do a guitar version in the next month or so. Anyway, I've got a new version up.
