Go Cardinal's, I think this match is big enough for comment's from this side of the pond.
So I will say good look to both team's, but of course being from the Island that love's the underdog I go for the cards.

I can't say I took very much notice of the Superbowl, only noting the names of the teams in case it came up in the pub quiz.

Although I don't have much interest in Football, I thought it odd how none of my friends/relatives/acquaintances mentioned watching Super Bowl XLIII. But then, we Washingtonians may still be bitter over Super Bowl XL.

I heard about the event only because I heard about Bruce Springsteen's highly successful performance within it. :) Did I ever tell anyone here that I like The Boss's music? :D

By the way, does anyone have a YouTube link for it? :p

I'm a vague fan - I watch the super bowl but nothing else. Why does it take 4 hours to play a 1 hour game? How can there be "obnly 35 seconds to play" but there's 15 minutes before the game actually ends?

Having said (or whinged about) that - it was a great game. No other game would have one team about to score, definitely about to score, then a few seconds later the other team had taken the ball and scored themselves.

Brucie-babes was on top form too. He promised "the last 12 minutes of the best show eva" and very nearly came close to delivering. Pity he can't do the guitar solo from Ommadawn, but he's still pretty good.

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

@ BigBellEnd: Thank you! :)

@ Andy: I fully agree about Bruce, but can't agree about the SuperBowl itself as I'm not interested in it. :) About the timings, maybe they use what they don't use with football (i.e. soccer) down here, i.e. actual playing time. They have one hour in which they can actually play, but as the timer is stopped every single time that the actual playing stops and that the ball is not in play - because of playfield accidents, mishaps, foulplays etc.- the real duration of the full match may be stretched up a great deal, maybe even up to 4 hours. Same for the last fifteen seconds - I guess they are (or were) the actual time left to play. ;)

I was in St Pete/Tampa last week for reasons other than the Superbowl, did not know much about it until then... This was the big event for this county, superbowl stuff everywhere ...
