We have youth nights at our church every friday and in a few weeks there'll be a talent show. I'm going to perform Taurus II for the occasion.

I've recorded the first 3 minutes (in the original's time) already and am working on the part after. It's been a learning experience! There's some complicated stuff going on there! I thought I'd never figure it out but it's starting to come clear now.

I'm recording it all on my Roland MT-200 module (pictures I found) so I wouldn't have to haul my whole computer to church and still somewhat control what's happening. So it's your standard Roland GS sounds. I'll be playing guitar over everything.

I'm uploading as I post this so if it doesn't work or sounds incomplete, wait a little while and try again.

Indeedy...

It has just the right lazy (and later crazy) rhytm and "heavy" sound.

It'll be interesting to hear more.

So how did it go then Brandon? And did you get a recording of this with your guitar on top?

I never realised how close Maggies vocal's were to a pan-pipe sound until i heard this backing track version.  :D

Thanks, bevy, but I already have a site with unlimited space that's doing me just fine :).

Actually it never happened. I'm not sure if it ever will, now :(. I'll still try to get it finished and layer guitars up on it so you guys can hear it, though.

Sounds good Brandon.

I remember the colaboration attempt to record the same part of Taurus 2 two years ago. I'm afraid I don't have my backing track now, but I hope the old mp3s were helpful :)

It would be good to see how your guitar playing has come on since then too :)

Well made, sounds good, but a little too much like the original I think. You could put some of your own stuff in it and it could be more interesting. Anyway very nice.
