Lol! This is a really fun version of one of Mike's happier tunes! I liek it. Great job!

The Taurus 1 reference is also a nice addition. Would have been nice to see a couple other themes in there as well and the ending is kind of abrupt, but oh well. Very good job!

Does this have any connection to the real Gigi D' Agostino, or did you name it that because of the style?

I once heard a mix - I think it was DJ Jean- of one of his own songs (possibly The Launch) with his interpretation of Tubular Bells (I think :)). But I'm not sure. I never could trace it. That's why I ask whether this really is Gigi who did this. DJ's tend to remix MO :).

Anyway this Taurus version is excellent! You really heard the MO call for musicians to go their own way  :p And I do not underestimate the skill needed to make this. It might sound a bit straightforward in arrangement, but it is not. And playing those melodies is not easy! At least I can't, in particular because I don't know the notes... :)

This is really Gigi D'agostino  :D
the album

I also got another shorter version of Taurus that he made. This is shorter.... only 3 min i think.

i wonder if Gigi and mike know each other??
I found sunset version from tres lunas game VERY simular with "I'll fly with you" or "L'amour toujours"..

Once I read an interview where Mike said that specific part of Taurus II is kind of a lullaby for his then new born baby Dougal.

I did not really hear lots of commonalities between L'Amour Toujours/I'll fly with you and Sunset.  But I do like Gigi because he was quite original and mellow with his music (though he did like to cover :)).  This Taurus version indicates he must be quite a fan (it's not the n-th moonlight shadow/to france/TB cover).

Where exactly is the Taurus1 link heard in this Taurus2 cover? I don't have QE2 here, so it's hard for me to look it up with only 5MO available :).

Anyway a nice thing of Gigi D'aAgostino! Nice to hear he's still making music (his own and covers), and that he's chosen a new road in MO covers.  That TB cover part by DJ JEan (I think) was nice, so where some of the numerous To France covers (I did not like any popular MS cover, they failed to link the mood with the contents), but this is new grounds and a good start at them! :)

I'm not aware of any previous personal or musical link between MO and Gigi, but the way in which this Taurus cover is made -and the fact THAT it is made- makes clear Gigi is a MO fan. And he probably owns Light&Shade :).

*crossing fingers* will this be a single (I fear not...)

I don't mean a direct QE2 Taurus 1 reference. But Mike's Taurus 2 hints back to Taurus 1 except he plays it slower and a few different chords. I just found it notable that this guy did the same thing. It starts at 3:38 on this cover.
