Though I'd share this video with fellow fans. I filmed it on a return trip from Wales. It's a quick trip up to the Beacon by motorbike (didn't go right the way along to the house, but stopped just short - got to respect peoples' privacy and all that!;).

Afterwards, I headed into Kington and rode through the town.

Hope you all enjoy (especially those who haven't yet had the chance to make a pilgrimage to this holy place) :)

Ciao Tati,
I read somewhere that The Beacon is now a B & B.
Can you tell me if it is true?
If so I think a few days off there.
My inspiration, this would certainly benefit...

It used to be a B&B in the 00's but not anymore nowadays...which is a pity! I know that a few MO fans had the chance to stay there during its B&B days

I enjoyed that, never rode a bike through Britain but captured the feel on your vid. Might get back there one day.  :)

Pity it's not here in Colchester - and the rent is not that expensive btw.

£575pcm surely can't be for the whole place? Is this rental just the basement? The description doesn't sound that big.

It looks very much like it is just the basement area which has been reconfigured as a 2 bedroom annexe. However this is where the studio was in 1975 (minus a newer extension) so the place is rather special to fans.

Oil central heating? I'd feel like a French fry.
Only knew about electricity and gas. (I'm no handyman... would be easier for me to program a robot that learns how to fix something than to do it)
