...when you've finished bandaging your toe after ripping out the nail while moving furniture and you need to stop cursing and growling = Voyager

I managed to remain stoic (while having a pleasant fantasy of dropping the offending piece of furniture on your toe, Alan) up until "Platoenum" and "Guitoes" had me in tears of laughter. I think you've covered all the possibilities, unless one resorts to song titles. In which case, I'm partial to "Toes of an Angel".

What about Toe Dream?  Toerus I, II (or should that be "toe") & III?   :D
Ok, that's me done with the toe puns!

Hmmm, I'd say the best MO album for getting me up in the morning is either QE2 or TBIII.

...and for scaring me in the middle of the night - Tubular Bells (I woke up in the middle of the caveman bit after a bad dream and for a few seconds, actually believed there was a big scary monster in my room!  :O )

The best one for relaxation I'd say would be TSODE.

And for when you're particularly angry/stressed/upset and need a smile - it's got to be Amarok.

I think I have said it before here, but Tubular Bells is the definitive album to get me out of a frustrated mood.

For roadtrips, I find myself preferring albums like Tubular Bells (during the day), Heaven's Open (early afternoon), Amarok (early evening) and Crises (night). And I can make dozens over dozens of recommendations from other artists as well (EP+6, by Mogwai, in particular).

For the "Out Demon Out" moments = Amarok

To relax a bit = Tr3s Lunas

Beautifully spotted! Wish I'd thought of those!! Not to mention Sweetpea's 'Toes of an Angel'. Classic.

Have you noticed Sentoenel and Tattoe from Toebular Bells Toe?

And on Toebular Bells Toe003, we have Fast Guitoes, Bagpipe Guitoes, and Ambient Guitoes, as well as Intoeduction, Latoen, and A Minor Toen. You think we've spotted a hidden message here?

As I think I've said on a previous thread, Hergest Ridge can be great for traffic jams. Especially the quieter sections, I just want to stay stuck in traffic for longer!

There's definitely a hidden message here, isn't there? Something's afoot.

For sheer, short, pithy, to-the-point-ness, 'Toe France' gets my vote for the best yet. But that doesn't stop me being proud of my series of discoveries within the Toebular Bells Toe and Toebular Toe003 albums, which I fully believe will give me the toehold on the ladder of Official Oldfield Stoedies that I've long been waiting for.

Sweetpea, what have you started now??

For me, QE2 is good for bike riding through the park..
A while ago, I found that Incantations was good for a long coach trip while I was in college.
Amarok is good for any time I need to cheer myself up. :)
And Voyager is good for a nice walk.

Best MO album for swimming underwater when doing apnea or snorkeling: TBII. I've tried it on a waterproof Discman with waterproof earphones, and, trust me, it works really well. :)

Best MO music for walking alone through the endless space of the open hills? You'd expect me to say Hergest Ridge, I bet, but for me it's Incantations there's just something about those hypnotic rhythms and variations on that one theme that make it perfect walking music! :D

Have just noticed Matt's avatar is ( I think ) a piece of cheese, appearing in a very amusing thread where feet etc have been mentioned, now is that just a toe-tal coincidence?! Subtle!

I do like The Socks of Secrets, Verucular Bells ( errrr!!;) and ofcourse Toebular Bells. It'll never ever sound the same again! Still, it's sure to get your feet tapping.
