To a lot of people it may mean little, but to me it means a lot.
Today in Los Angeles Lux Interior, lead singer and founder of psychobilly band The Cramps died age 62, he and the band are legend.
what a great shame.

A friend of mine is a big Cramps fan,and I know he`s gonna` be extrememly saddened by this news..Great live band they were, and always visualy exciting.Thought they were great on The Tube, many years ago now.

Folk singer John Martyn(60) of Solid Air fame also died a few days ago.Not a good week.

Sad to hear about this. Still, the Cramps must be the band least likely to be mentioned on tubular.net ever. They were cool!

Aww. I've never heard The Cramps' music but I remember reading an interview with them, and that was definitely a fun read. :)

There's a slightly macabre part of me that frequently motivates me to check out the recent deaths on Wikipedia, and on the 5th is when I read about Lux.  It kicked me right in the gut.  The guy was ageless.  How was it possible that he was actually 62?  The Cramps were/are just so bloody fantastic, but I was SO unprepared for how badly the news would make me feel.  I was in on the ground floor with them, enjoying them right from the start.  But I hadn't listened to them for a while now and it made me feel really sort of ashamed.  So I've been OD-ing on them for about a week now, gladly doing my penance.

It's such good listening for the car.  My kid gave me a great laugh while driving him to school this morning.  I was skipping through the disc to find "The Crusher" and when he heard the intro to "Goo Goo Muck" and thought I wouldn't play it he got pissed off at me!  Of course I played it, then... it's probably our hands-down fave.

Where's the smilie for stunned grief?
