Ian, I found "The Crossing" to be quite good.  Oldfield influence is obvious but I am beginning to recognize YOU or should I say your style.  This composition for me was one of your better efforts because of the all-around quality but more was the great subtle transitions of various sounds that "fit" into the soundscape of the melody.  This tune took me on a trip...

Thanks Mike. Yes, I must admit I find it uplifting but it is because I am at the moment inspired by a small Island I have just discovered not too far from home off the irish sea. You have to cross to it while the tide is low but it is an amazing place that inspires. I imagine flying round the island.

The Oldfield influence is just me trying to find how Mike got some of his sounds as I have never really expolred my FX pedal. Thats how the track started and I thought why not make it into something.

regarding you saying about my sound, yes, I am starting to get my own little nice between acoustics and subtle electronics. I like to think of my music as organic. I am not there yet though but enjoying the journey. I have some depressing times of no inspiration so I enjoy these times when they come.

Thanks folks for the encouragment  :)
