Ginger Daddy Group: Members Posts: 401 Joined: April 2002 Posted: Nov. 14 2010, 16:05 Hi, It's almost Christmas and so a couple of weeks ago I set myself the task of recording a Christmas Carol... and here it is! http://soundcloud.com/purplerhapsody/the-first-noel I don't sing so it's completely instrumental - mainly orchestra with some piano and electric guitar. The bits I'm most proud of are the middle and the climax towards the end... Anyway, I hope you enjoy listening to it... I certainly enjoyed recording it! I didn't aim to emulate any MotS arrangements, just did what sounded good to my ears. But then again I _like_ MotS so there's bound to be some influence there somewhere. @milamber - thanks! Though, I'd love to hear it with the instruments being more in the foreground, they sound somewhat repressed, which might be caused by the panning (the instruments tend to be more on the left side) and the kind of reverb you used.
