Im looking forward to the next MO Album and how it will sound..  Well its supposed to have a Halloween Theme or
Concept .. Maybe a Release on Oct 29th then ?? .. Its supposed to be a classical based record but thats to be confirmed I guess.. Cannt help but think theres going to be lots of trademark Guitar going off in there as well..I can imagine a bit of Vocals or Choirs in it also...I cannt see ir being racked up in the totally Classic Sections personally so it could still be a very much recognisable MO album ...Theres millions of Classic Albums out there already so I hope itsgoing to still going to "Rock" a bit and not be a 60 minute long "Lake Constance" even though i do like that Tk a lot..Any Ideas on the Album "Cover"  Fav must be A tastefull "Pumpkin Head" theme or something Gothic ..

After the horror of light & shade, all bets are off!

I think we see a record with a jazzy trance-beat mixed with breathing sounds from dolphins and whales and a steeldrum band performed by epileptic midgets with multiple spasms..- only with  interruptions made by MO´s new sounds...a 500 overdub of a flushing toilet....FLUSH......FLUSH.....FLUSH...

I can´t wait for this one   :)

Mike

I think this album can be really good, but I hope Mike stays away from guest vocalists (or - god forbid - childen!) reciting poems.
Another thing I don't want to hear any more of is breathy choirs singing mock-african chants. It used to be carming feature of Mike's music ca 1978, but of lately it's become a tired Oldfieldian Cliché. They way it's used on the Millenium Bell (an album which I'm secretly afraid that this project will owe a lot to) it makes me think of the "Holidays are coming"-chant in that Coca Cola commercial.

I seriously hope that Mike dares to compose a piece that is not so easily accesible. A little bit of dissonance won't hurt. If it's going to be a classical album it won't have to top the charts anyway, so perhaps there is more room to experiment.

it will be orhestral  ;)
that means many miles away from what you describe..
Karl Jenkins is doing the orchestra and Mike will play classic guitar + piano.

A wild guess...they're making a soundtrack in case the book will become a movie?  :D

Anyhow...I think Mike is returning back to his guitars again.  ;)
I wish they could create some longer, transforming track, everything is so damn short in these days.
