It seems to be getting rather strained here, and what should be fun is becoming just plain annoying to me, so...

Welcome to the Sabbatical Thread.

I'll start. I'll keep away from the Board for a while- say, for example, four months. And then return, start reading old topics and so on. If you see me here, posting or just browsing, then tell me not to. That's it. Plain and simple.

See you in December.

You probably won't read this till December, but i'm sorry you feel that things are getting strained here. OK, there are some silly topics, but I feel there are a lot more serious ones here recently. Well, at least you should have a lot to come back to!

P.S. If you do come back early, we won't tell you not to, that would be mean.

If you have any problems in particular, don't hesitate to get in touch with me (and I'm sure the same goes with Olivier). Registered users can send me a private message via the forum software. This goes for anyone with problems or concerns relating to the board (whether they're of a technical or more human nature).

I don't think it should become strained if people come onto these boards with an open mind. I do think there are quite a few contributers out there (possibly younger one's) who should chill out a bit when it comes to exchanging opinions and learn its not the end of the world if someone disagrees with you. I would be the first to admit I speak bollocks from time to time and would hope someone would correct me if I'm wrong or misjudging something. There are obviously arguements that go round and round in circles such as what is Mike's best album or what albums are crap, Its all subjective at the end of the day and the longer you spend on the boards the more you come to realise the broad age and culture range of Mike's fans and obviously with music as diverse as Mike's there are going to be a lot of people comming at it from different angles. Just try and be constructive and realistic when arguing a point and then mabey others will be to.
Remember this is supposed to be fun :)
