I don't think this has been remarked upon, but there are two triangular shaped windows at the base of the tower in Terrain. Images of them are below. One has the same appearance as the outside of the tower while the other looks like the standard stained glass (albeit muted). These windows are the same shape as the one that leads to the chillout world. The implication is that Terrain and the Chillout World have territory in common (they both have the pine grove for example), and that the two windows mark both entrance and exit to the mysterious region at the base of the tower - even if you can't actually get to that region within the game.
