My Personal line-up would be Gilmour and his army (Pink Floyd), knofler(spelt wrong) any his army (dire straits), Eric Clapton, Tenacious D, The Police, Chris Isaac, Brian May (queen) and last but not least Mike (the man) Oldfield.

This would be the ultimate concert to end the year with songs like:-   Crazy Diamond, Tribute, Wonderful tonight, Tunnel of love, Moonlight shadow, Heavens open, Wish you were here, Walk of life, Layla, Don't stop me now, One vision.

God this list could go on for ever.  This would be shear bliss.  :D  :D

that sounds like my idea of heaven too,but without Chris Isaac, the police and Tenacious D,not into those lot myself.but Gilmour,Oldfield,Knopfler,May,Clapton, would be my best lineup ever, but you would need to add Sting or Mike Rutherford for Bass duties, and maybe Phil Collins for the drums. If i could see this lot in one cocnert it would be my own personal Live Aid.

Well, how about
A TRIBUTE TO MIKE OLDFIELD?

Massive Attack: Crises
Peter Gabriel: Make Make
Vangelis: Hibernaculum
Moby: Sentinel
Metallica: Shadow On The Wall
Sinead O'Connor: Talk About Your Life
Pink Floyd: Incantations part three
Mark Knopfler: She Moves Through The Fair
Junkie XL: Secrets/Far Above The Clouds

Each artist giving his own twist and turn to each song...
(*sigh*) Dreamland is a nice place to be, isn't it...?

'Dude' just said everything above, right when I was thinking about it... :) I'd like to add Eric Clapton playing a bluesy/orchestral rendition of Platinum part II (or maybe of the whole of Platinum).

Far out! This keeps getting better and better, man (I've been a big Genesis-fan for years). How about the three of them performing Supper's Ready? Or (Second) Home By The Sea? I'd love to hear Mike's guitarplaying with Tony's keyboards and Bruford's drums...  :)

gr8 idea :)

Michelle... did you do that on purpose? =]

concerts this year.... uhhmm...

- pink floyd (nothing beats THIS!;)
- toto (godlike simon phillips)
- oldfield (of course...)
- the who

- jarre (ok, this is no "concert", but nice eyecandy. saw "europe in concert" in berlin and the tolerance-thingie at eiffeltower.. impressive...)

Mike, Yes, and a reunion of Genesis?

i would sell my grandma for this... (if you add pete townshend, you can get my sisters for free...) =]

but that "oldfield and guest" idea is nice..

- ac/dc > discovery
- brian may > parts of amarok
- pete townshend  > outcast
- jarre > firefly
- carl palmer > mount teidi
- jon anderson > in high places

there are many more ideas... but this is getting nuts now... :)

have a nice day....

The line up from Mike Chadwick,is really what i would expect those artists to choose to perform,i doubt it would ever happen though :/ .but i wish more artists would come out in support of Mike, and say how much they like him,and how he has influenced them, instead of the usual thing of saying The Beatles
