Hi

Can someone explain to me how to get the media content of SODE to run on an iMac intel core duo? This is my first Mac computer so I am very novice at the moment. OSX just tells me "You cant open the program "Songs of Distant Earth" though the computer lacks support for it".

So, what to do?

I think the problem is that Your Mac has an Intel processor, while almost all previous Macs were based on PowerPC. Because these processors are significantly different, I'm almost sure that You can't launch programs compiled for old processors (PowerPC) on new platform (Intel), even if You use proper operating system (MacOS). The solution is:
1) Buy older Mac with PowerPC processor

2) Try launching TSODE on a Mac emulator (see this thread) under Windows, on a regular PC.
I don't know if there's any way to launch old Mac-ish TSODE on Your new Mac.

it worked perfectly on my older PC, my game rig seemed to over do it.

As a curiosity I purchased the cd on ebay for $5.50(shipped).
