Ever since first listening to "Ommadawn", I've always thought that the second-to-last section of "Ommadawn" side 2 (the part before "On Horseback") was a version of "Three Blind Mice". I've seen some call this section "Bodhran".
The words, especially at the beginning, fit in quite well with the music:
"Three blind mice, three blind mice, See how they run, see how they run, (and) They all ran after the farmer's wife, Who cut off their tails with a carving knife, Did you ever hear such a tale in your life, As three blind mice?"
--------------
Does anyone else notice this, or am I as "out there" as the guy who thinks that all of Tubular Bells is "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" ?
-------------- "In the land of the Dacotahs, Where the Falls of Minnehaha Flash and gleam among the oak-trees, Laugh and leap into the valley." - Song of Hiawatha
