I think Mike made two versions:
1. album version you can find on Discovery (4:50)
2. extended version (5:33)

There are several cover versions. Maggie Reilly made a one in 1996. It is on her album Elena. There are also many remixes of this version.
Last summer, Novaspace covered it. Incredibly horrible.

My hard disc contains more than 30 versions of Moonlight Shadow (covers, fan tracks, live recordings) so I think there are more versions of To France as well.

.....and a cover version by Blind Guardian.

the second verrsion called EXTENDED is much more expressive that the well known Discovery album version...the sudden change in the middle before the guitar solo is great and i just loe how slowly all the instruments after are coming in - with the background of Drums,Maggie and gentle guitar the bass cames, later fairlight, later acoustic guitar and the maginficent solo...and the wall of sound in the end is just amazing...but the EXTENDED mix that i have on Cd has a bad quality - many trebles, poor bass....well it is not a HDCD....
