This is something I actually tend to try with all of my own tracks, as I've noticed it can sometimes yield really interesting results. Incidentally, that idea was inspired by Mike's use of a backwards tune in a Incantations. Back to top

Holger Group: Members Posts: 1506 Joined: Feb. 2003 Posted: Jan. 12 2014, 21:16 Oh dear, I'm sorry, I never noticed I was asked to elaborate!   And I'm afraid also that I can't really point out the exact place on Incantations where this occurs. But definitely, one of the many themes on it is a reversed version of another one. I can't remember exactly where it is and I'm afraid I'm not at all in the mood to listen to Incantations to find out right now, but it's actually quite obvious once you know it, as it does sound rather strange (but awesome) and not like something anyone - even Mike - would purposefully compose. Maybe one of the other members can help me out here and point out the exact timing? I think it might be in part 3 but I'm really not sure. Back to top
