Hi everybody. I've known tubular.net for years but I don't really know the forum. Through myspace.com, Tubular Tos told me that we could make discover our music here. So here I am.

I've been an Oldfield fan for ten years or so. I also like Genesis, the Cure, Dire Straits, Procupine Tree... I listen to and compose different styles of music, and with my computer I've done a few "Oldfieldian" pieces (very inspired by the Mike's LPs in the seventies, I fear that I've almost stolen his work...) that you can download on jamendo (it's free). They're called "Ondanuma", "Escampette", and soon there will be a third one "Decantations" (guess where does the title come from...)

And you can listen to other tracks on soundclick and myspace.
Hope you'll like it

Hi Julien,

I like your music, tried to add you  as a friend on myspace but it's down atm.
Had a look on Jamendo, but found it hard to navigate, as I well speak schoolgirl French, (it comes back to you, as it did when I tried to improve my German). Does  "Ecoutes" men "plays"     :)  :D

EDIT : ...> ... just thinking about that Jamendo.com could be used with an English interface ....

hi everyone!

I've made a few new things since the last time...

Spacewalk is a kind of mix between Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and Mike Oldfield, you can listen to it there, and tell what you think about it:

Spacescape is gathering new versions of tracks previously released, it's a bit more "rock", like Mike did on tours at the end of the 70s or early 80s...

Hope you'll like it!

:D Tu t'attendais à quoi ? Bien sûr que j'adore !
What would you like i think ? Of course i love it !

Some parts are really psychedelic like i love . You really have captured the sound of Mike . Really nice tribute to the pioneers . Funny ?!!? at 13"20 it sounds a little bit like Roxy music ! :D It's good anyways !!

I've listened to Ondanuma, and I have to say I liked it very much! I could see some room for improvement; technically not everything seems perfect to me, and some of the musical ideas don't quite seem to work. That said, a lot of the stuff you've got there is really splendid and remarkably close to "the real thing"! If you could sort out the problems I mentioned, then this would be amazingly good. I'm only saying this because I sense so much potential here, and it's a bit of a pity that it doesn't seem to completely match up to what it could be, so please don't take this as criticism, as I'm actually highly impressed.

BTW, I was a bit surprised at a part that sounds quite reminiscent of "Go West" - was that intentional or just coincidence? (Either way I think that part is very nice!)

I'll certainly listen to it more, and also to your other work. Thanks for sharing!
