Was doing a Google News search for Mike and found this article from The Age!  Hope the horse wins the cup too!

Quote
Tubular Bells, in only five runs, has raced into favouritism for today's Adelaide Cup, Patrick Bartley writes.

What are the chances of moderately bred country horse starting red-hot favourite for an Adelaide Cup at only his sixth run? If you had told Andrew Payne two years ago that the horse to achieve this rare feat would be Tubular Bells, he would have given you any odds.

...

Payne said that as Look Hither had shown the trainer little by the time Tubular Bells came into the stable, he didn't know what to expect of the horse that was named after the 1970s hit by Mike Oldfield.

I got home on Monday night after going camping for the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend to a phone message from a friend saying there was a horse called Tubular Bells who was a favourite to win. So we watched the news that night to see she came second, but is at the start of her career, so I am going to take up a new hobby, that's for sure and who knows, she might even bring MO some well deserved publicity. Thanks for the article.

P.S. For Aussie viewers, Matthew Sorrell, a Doctor of Education at Adelaide Uni is appearing on 'The Einstein Factor' on May 28th, a Sunday, at 6:30pm. His subject : Mike Oldfield.
