Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere else---but is the tubular bell logo a patended trademark logo or is anyone allowed to use it?

I think I can see a marked in this wellness, awareness, healing world we live in....gold logo in middle of glass bubbles, stressreducing neckless with  tubular bell and such...
:)

As far as I know it used to be a logo for (one of) Mike's publisher(s), Oldfield Music Overseas, I don't know if it still is. But, however, other than being an instantly recognizable logo :D. I don't think it's ever really been trademarked or copyrighted on its own - i.e. the bell in that peculiar shape, commonly known as the Bent Bell. ;) The combination of the Bent Bell with the Oldfield Music Overseas name bears the TM mark on it, but I've never seen it on the Bent Bell itself.

On Changeling, about the copyright of the Tubular Bell image, shows clearly that belongs to Mike himself.

Can you please give me a quote from the book, Tati? I know that Mike is the creator of the image (it's stated clearly on the TBIII cover), but does he actually own any copyright on the image? As I said, I've never seen the actual image with a ®,™ or © on top of it. :)
