I've been searching for something like this for long time, and in vain hope I bought some records by Blind Guardian and some others. I like metal music, but everything else (lyrics, attitudes) are incrediby childish, popularistically satanistic, etc, so I have mostly been avoiding them... I must get this album! Anybody can suggest more stuff like this? Is there any more extraordinary metal music, with some creativity in other areas that lyrics and arrangement of powerchords and distortions ( experimental, mature, non-satanistic metal ? i'm really asking too much, aint I? ) Why do everybody insist so much on being typical? And why some people cant ge the fact into their heads that comments are supposed to be short and related, and forums are for discussions?  oh, well Back to top

Kim Pyrrö Unregistered Posted: July 09 2002, 07:56 Well i almost only listen to metal and there are two finnish bands that i adore...that is stratovarius and sonata arctica....actully their friends to nightwish and play kind of same music...and then there is an italian band called rhapsody, they are great...classical music with powerfull choir mixed with power metall....one o a kind... i have two favourite guitar players and thats mike oldfield and timo tollki of stratovarius(fast as a shark) Back to top

Markus K. Unregistered Posted: July 27 2002, 05:50 Where do ypu people hear the Tubular Bells tune? In the beginning there's this guitar tune and then the strings. None of them sound like the exact TB tune (in my opinion) although they are a bit similar. Back to top

Korgscrew Group: Super Admins Posts: 3511 Joined: Dec. 1999 Posted: July 27 2002, 06:26 I have to agree with Markus here - it sounds to me like it may be Tubular Bells inspired, but it doesn't use quite the same notes. Actually, the C D B B part of that riff is more like Sentinel than the original Tubular Bells. It's like the same notes, but in a different order and different key. Back to top
