Anyone else ever notice how close the main theme of 'Steven' from Alice Coopers 'Welcome to my Nightmare' is to the opening theme of Tubular Bells?

it is true that Alice Cooper's steven and the opening segment of TB1 have a lot in common ,it must be mainly the piano that repeats itself to become if you like the theme, either way both were out before Halloween the movie that could have got it's theme from one of the afore mentioned .p.s Alice Cooper is a big horror film fan and probably saw the Exorcist way before he did welcome to my nightmare.pp.s I also read that after every live show by A.C TB1 opening is played as the fans leave the venue.

hmmm..... Alan Parker .... The Fog ..... did I miss something?
;)
maybe we're not talkin' about the same movie, but "The Fog" I know is featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins, Hal Holbrook (as Father Malone)...etc., the movie itself was produced by Debra Hill, who also was co-writer of it. And the score was done by the "main-writer", John Carpenter. Year of release: 1978.
Parts of the soundtrack remind me more to Hergest Ridge, though....

Later,
