I went digging around for MO stuff around the web and found some unusual stuff...

Tubular Bells Quad Mix layout image

Site with Japanese MO artifacts. That hand-drawn stage layout is pretty cool.

Mike's Roughwood Studio printed in a Roland trade magazine.

A Japanese Site with a good index of bootlegs (with images) and releases. (Not a download site).

Mike talks about FL studio. He uses a 32" NEC display?

The quad mix layout is from an excerpt of TB included in a quad disc sample including some extracts of different songs. This record which included 2 excerpts from TB mixed by Alan Parsons and Tom Newman between others, was called Quadrafile. The original article is here:
http://www.stereosociety.com/Quadrafile.html

The japanese site that you link in second place point to 2 bootleg versions of the only show (as far as I know) Mike has played in Japan. It was on Tokyo, May 26th, 1982. I have been told that the second version, The Day We Belive, has better sound quality. The other things seems to be also related with that show.

And the Roughwood studio was shot around the Guitars period. This is from Richard's discography (the link is on the Guitars album section).

About the fourth link, I can't understand japanese, but looking the pictures they seen official stuff more than bootlegs. I can see official albums, 7", 12", boxes...

Very interesting links, thank you for post them once more ;)

No prob. I guess being fans, it's hard finding anything new online concerning MO, eh? ;)

The japanese site also has a link to other MO information including some pictures of him and his family (I'm guessing). The images looked pretty crisp so I figured it was from the Then & Now liner.

These collars were sold as merchandise for the Guitars tour, I think, and also keyrings...

Well thanks to Magellan, who started this topic and others that have since posted links,I've really enjoyed - dare I say "surfing" around in it all :D

From the "visit" into Rosewood Studio,to having a look at the TB logo & silver chain - and.... there were keyrings too?
Don't know about those anyway, but would love to have a silver TB to pin onto my black imitation leather coat

@Nacho-never heard neck chains being reffered to as collars before, that's interesting - where from? :)

Like The Knights that say Ni" as they want a shrubbery.

Seriously there's some great links upon this page.   Richard I lkie your disography pages very much, could spend hours on them surfing, listening  to Mike's music  :)  :D .  Great Stuff.

Are Tubular Bell pins available to buy anywhere?  Save me the pain of having a Tubular Bells tattoo.  No I'd like to get a tattoo of the TB cover.  It can't hurt that much, as some people are covered in tattoos.

If we lived a little closer we could hold hands and go get those tattoos together, I'd be in it for sure. Love the TB pendant, never knew they existed. Wonder if they can be tracked down.
