This is what they used to do before they had videos to show - Pan's People! They'd dance to the single if the artist wasn't able to appear. Imagine what MTV would be like if they had dancing girls instead of music videos...

Evidently Mike didn't think their performance was too bad - the credits to the Tubular Bells II video include a special thanks to ex-Pan's People dancer Cherry Gillespie.
